Jan 14 vs Dec 30 2017

    I've learned a lot about art this year and really wanted to see the amount of improvement by re-doing something I made beginning of this year. I've started using a lot more reference photos and that has drastically helped me improve with either the hands or the way clothes fold. Another thing I've started doing is using filters/overlays on my art; it has helped so much with tying the whole piece together. In the before photo I had shaded each color individually and later on I had realized how time consuming and pointless that was, so I started shading only using one color on either linear burn or multiply. Now I can finish it half the time it used to take me (shading wise). I really took everything I've learned this year and put it into one piece and I'm happy with the results.
